SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS

Rebranded the $100M VC funded start-up THE PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE Working directly with the CEO, designed the PFL brand architecture and corporate identity. Including new logo, brand guidelines, website development and creative assets for all digital and social channels for this start-up sports media, content development company as it redefines the Mixed Martial Arts landscape with a new league format and an unprecedented $10M prize pool.

Created, hired and managed a new internal creative department at the PFL while establishing new workflow processes, studio resources and social platform development including assets for all digital and social channels.

Oversaw the development, production and installation of multi-media in venue creative assets for over 40 events in NYC, NJ, Washington DC, CA and Las Vegas, NV.


Introduced the current “still revolutionary” tagline and new logo for the State of Connecticut. Highlighting the $25M nationwide campaign to reposition the state of Connecticut that led to a 70% increase in advertising awareness, 21% enhancement of national perception and the creation of 30,000 jobs. Increased visits to the Connecticut website by 100% and saw an 18% increase in awareness as a place to visit, significantly above the average gain for competing states.

President and Owner of Agency of Record for the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism from 2001-2015. Created the “Caymankind” brand and advertising campaign in 2013 that led to a 10.8% increase in visitation in 2014 and still in market today.

Conceived and co-produced with NFL Films, “The NFL Cayman Challenge”. A 90 minute made for TV branded content initiative designed to showcase the beauty of The Cayman Islands and highlight a select group of NFL Players in an on island “Survivor”-styled sports competition. The show aired on CBS and ESPN and was renewed


Managed and oversaw the development of all creative assets of a 40 person creative department. Supervising over $60M of business. Pitched, developed and won the $40M Bell Atlantic account featuring the work of world renowned artist Maurice Sendak and secured licensing rights for his book, “Where the Wild Things Are”. Pitched and won the campaign for the $20M USAA Insurance account featuring the line “We know what it means to serve” which has been in market for over 15 years for TV, print, online and collateral applications.


EXPERIENCE


CHOWDER INC, New York, NY President & Founder / Creative Director / 2001-2018

Launched and led a boutique advertising and content development agency in New York City for 15 years focusing on the tourism, entertainment and sports sectors with a focus on content development.

Produced and co-founded the theatrical and Netflix release of “Cayman Went”. The only movie ever created by an advertising agency on behalf of its client. Increased general awareness of the destination in its premier cities of New York, Los Angeles and London, and became a focal point for on island tourism awareness activation programs

Won $20M pitch for brand voice and positioning for the oil and natural gas industry. Blended television production and testing, print, web and banner production.

Lead the creative new business team that pitched and won the $25 million People’s United Bank account. Introduced the new bank logo, new bank name. New checking accounts increased by 22% and unaided new name awareness increased by 40% regionally.

Co-directed 2 national TV commercials featuring James Earl Jones and Secretary of State Colin Powell. Responsible for the creative development, strategic objectives and presentation for multiple new business wins including:

ESPN’s First NASCAR national TV promotional featuring the licensed use of DC Comics “Speed Racer” and featured NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt.

Animal Planet's Pitched first on air promotion for the cable network featuring the voices of Phoebe Snow and Graham Nash singing their personalized renditions of “If I could talk to the Animals"
